The Painted Man, i wanted to do this for the good Vs evil competition which was going on but i just didnt have to time to finish it before the dead line.

anyway, this is based on a book by Peter V Brett called 'the painted man' (the warded man in the US) the book is fantastic and anyone who like fantasy i strongly recommend it.

it shows a segment from the book where the main characters cross paths where the painted man fights againist a wood demon in the forrest. and he half naked because the tatoos (wards) both defend and help him attack against powerful elemental demons.

holy shit! dude thats awsome. iv just finished readin this book (loved it by the way, one of my favourites to date, cant wait for the desert spear!) so thought id search deviantart c if any1 had done sum kwl pics of it, i found this and was not dissapointed!

This is so awesome, I can't even tell you. I love how the wood demon (with those crazy branchlike claws!)is only half-formed from the mist, and the soft glow of the wards.

One of the most wonderful things about creating art is seeing how it inspires others. I'm honored that my book inspired you so make this.
